Nude photoshoot controversy: Ranveer Singh seeks 2 weeks' time to record statement, Mumbai Police will soon send fresh summons
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been in the headlines for the past few days due to his nude photoshoots more than his films. After this nude photoshoot, a complaint was lodged against the actor in Mumbai Police. The police had summoned Ranveer and asked him to appear on Monday, 22 August. Now a new update has come out regarding this case on Ranveer. It is reported that now Ranveer has sought two weeks’ time to appear in the police station. After this, Mumbai Police has told that a new summon will be sent to Ranveer soon after fixing a new date.

Ranveer did a nude photoshoot for an international magazine whose pictures went viral. Many people and social organizations had objected to these pictures. The notice was sent to him after a complaint was lodged with the police, however, when the police officers went to Ranveer’s house to give the notice, he was not present at the house.

A case was registered against Ranveer under Indian Penal Code sections 292 (selling pornographic material), 293 (selling obscene material to minors), 509 (insulting a woman by words or gestures) and the IT Act.

Talking about work, both Ranveer’s last released films ’83’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ flopped badly at the box office. Talking about the upcoming film, he will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s film ‘Circus’. Apart from this, Ranveer has finished shooting for the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, being directed by Karan Johar.
