Mumbai: Casting couch has become a common thing in the glamor word. Many B-town actresses have spoken openly on the casting couch. Recently, actress Ankita Lokhande shared her experience about casting couch. He has exposed the dark truth of the entertainment world. According to her, she has experienced casting couch not once, but twice.
Ankita told that when she was new to the entertainment industry, she was asked to compromise in return for the role, although she gave a befitting reply. In an interview given to a website, Ankita said-I was very smart. I was the only one in the room and at that time I must have been 19 or 20 years old. I asked him (casting director) what kind of compromise do your producers want? Will I have to go to parties or dinners with them? And as soon as he told me about it, I played his band.’
Continuing her talk, Ankita says-I told him I think your producer doesn’t need a talented girl to work with him, but a girl to sleep with. After that I left from there. Later he apologized to me and said that he would try to cast me in his film. But I said that even if you try and take me in the film, still I am not interested in working in your film.’
ankita saysWhen I came back to the movies, I experienced the same thing again. I would not like to name names but he is a great actor. I just shook hands with him and I started getting the same feeling. I immediately released my hand and left. I knew that I would no longer be here. Because it is a process of giving and taking. I understood and left from there. Because it wasn’t for me.
Talking about work, Ankita got recognition from house to house with the sacred relationship. In this, she played the role of Archana.
